A new mentorship trains three Kenyan designers. Its webinars are free and open to everyone else, from July to October.

This July, ITC’s Ethical Fashion Initiative launches a new mentorship, in partnership with Vivienne Westwood, Artisan Fashion and Jiamini.

The programme runs two tracks: three emerging Kenyan designers work directly with artisan communities, building new collections rooted in Kenyan craft heritage. In parallel, an advanced business track brings in established Kenyan small businesses with clear growth goals.

A free webinar series opens much of this content to everyone, wherever you are based, with sessions running from July to October. It will cover creative practice, brand building, sustainability and market entry.

These sessions are open to all:

  • 23 July: Finding your creative voice, with Jiamini
  • 6 August: Circular production and resource efficiency with ITC
  • 11 August: Visual identity foundations with ITC
  • 26 August: Heritage and cultural identity in fashion, with Jiamini
  • 27 August: Visual storytelling for collections and campaigns with ITC
  • 10 September: Fair wages, labour conditions and gender equity
  • 24 September: Building a marketing strategy for emerging brands with Vivienne Westwood
  • 9 October: Pitching your collection with ITC
  • 16 October: Governance and codes of conduct with ITC
